SBR rubber mats for Dacia

The rubber mats from Walser are made from styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR). This rubber is also known as Buna rubber. This rubber combines some of the properties of other types of rubber. One of these important properties is its swelling behaviour when exposed to water. Many types of rubber tend to swell on contact with water. The mats then become very soft and feel flabby.

Especially in winter, this also leads to another phenomenon. The rubber freezes and can then break. The frozen water breaks up the inner structure and cracks appear. This can also happen with rubber, which does not remain elastic in the cold without water retention. SBR, on the other hand, absorbs virtually no moisture and therefore does not swell. The fit is therefore always maintained. Even at minus 40° Celsius, SBR is still flexible. So it cannot break.

In summer, high temperatures are quickly reached inside. Many types of rubber cannot withstand such high temperatures in the long term and slowly degrade. SBR is still stable even at over + 70° Celsius. The third outstanding property is resistance to abrasion. Here too, the rubber mats from Walser for your Dacia are almost resistant. This high premium quality will protect your footwell from dirt and moisture for a long time.
